Garbis Balekjian, Creator of Dermaclear

Chemist Garbis Balekjian developed Dermaclear for his children because he was unhappy with the big name commercial products available on the market which contained miniscule amounts of active ingredients and large amounts of alcohol and other ingredients which did nothing but dry and damage skin.

He designed Dermaclear to be an all-in-one facial treatment to cleanse, clarify and rejuvenate skin without drying it and to replace the need to buy three or four of the "big guy's" products to get the same results.

Eventually, more and more family members and friends began using Dermaclear and they kept asking for refills. His son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Janet Balekjian received his blessing to market the product and formed GB Skincare, LLC in 1999.

GB Skincare, LLC is family-owned and operated business and a registered limited liability company in the state of California. Since 1999 we have sold tens of thousands of bottles of Dermaclear to loyal customers throughout the United States and around the world.

Garbis Balekjian was born in Aleppo, Syria. He holds a B.S. of Science in Chemistry from the University of Pennsylvania, and was the Supervisor of the Chief Isotropic Compounds division of Calbiochem from 1961 to 1970. He served as President of the Biochemical and Nuclear Corporation from 1971 to 1982.
